    Hi all my videos play in a window and have borders on the horizontal and verticle - its happened ever since i installed all the codecs as virtualdub required them - how can i fix this and maintain virtual dub working?

    bah jsut uninstalled all the codecs - i can now play files with no borders but i cannot edit them via virtual dub! which codec pack is safe + i can use to watch movies and edit avi's inc xvids

    None.

    Just use GSpot and/or AVICodec and install them individually as you need them.
