I have used the program and works very fine. It gives a 7800 kbps bitrate, and I wonder if it will be possible to obtain a higher one. For example I have converted a 7701086 transport stream into dvd. It has a good quality but I suposse that it could be another way to making a DVD with a higher bitrate thinking in it burning into a 8Gb DVD.
There were a lot of transport stream files and I join them with HDTVtoMPEG2. With this program you can also obtain a MPEG2 file with the same bitrate than the original ts. I tried to create a DVD using tmpgencDVDauthor but the program doesnt like the aspect ratio and the little conversions that I tried with tmpgenc to change it gives me very bad results and the audio without sync. I also tried with authordvdgui and this programs dont like the size/aspect of the mpeg2 (too big/too high I suposse). I also tried with Ifoedit authoring options and it doesn´t work.
Well, any ideas will be apreciatted.

The maximum average bitrate is 7800 with HDTV2DVD. In theory you can go to around 9000 and still be DVD Spec compliant. However the ratecontrol in ffmpeg can produce large bitrate spikes which result in a non compliant DVD... choosing 7800 therefore reduces this chance.
