    here is the Thing:

I've got a audio track for a video that's in mp3 format. But when I use the Ulead DVD Workshop 2 to author it leaves the last 5 minutes or so wihout audio. If convert to wav the the program does NOT compress it and I usually end up with 2 Gigs of audio only. The format that Ulead uses is MPA. How can I go from MP3 to MPA?

    Thanks for any help

But if that doesn't meet your needs after all, you can still export to uncompressed PCM, and then convert to MPA (MP2) with TMPGEnc. Make sure you've got the right sample rate (48k-DVD, 44k-VCD).

I've tried converting to mp2 using TMPeg but the Workshop does not recognize de .mp2 extension.

I'm going to try BeSweet and that other program.

    Thanks

What audio format(s) do Workshop like?
If it doesn't like mp2, but mpa, just rename the mp2 to mpa.

  7. Use BeSweet or Lame (with RazorLame GUI if you prefer). Freeware. Costs nothing, works well. BeSweet lets you go directly from mp3 -> mpa or from mp3 -> ac3
