  1. Been trying for two days now still no luck and searched this site. I want to convert an 23,976 fps movie into an 25 fbs movie. With 48000hz, 192 kbits stereo into 41000hz. So far so good, picture looks great but the sound is gone. Tried to use the LSX Mpeg encoder and it stated the sound wasn't PCM compatible while TMPGenc said it was 48000hz. So to get to the question, what am I missing, how can I fix this avi file so I can convert it to mpeg with sound ? It plays fine on mediaplayer with sound, but once converted nothing. Also tried the Toolame tool and still no luck. Hope someone knows the answer. Thanks in advance

use toolame as your encoder plug-in when running tmpenc, it will convert the 48,000 to 44,100. Tmpenc will do it also but not as well, just follow the guide on this site about using toolame.

  3. Tried using Toolame, but still no sound. Even tried converting it in orignal 23,976 fbs and again no sound. Should I use filters ? No answer in the filter faq on this site.

    Thanks again

  4. Use VirtualDub to save the audio as WAV, then convert the film using TMPGEnc but the Audio.wav file as the audio source. Worked for me when I had that problem once....
You may find the audio out of sync when done, so do a small test first to see if its in sync. If it's not, you need to compress the audio file using SoundForge or similar. You will need to set the new sample rate as (48000Hz x 25fps) / 23.976fps = 50050Hz (Thats the equation you always use: Old_Sampling_Rate x New_FPs / Old_FPS = New_Sampling_Rate)

    Hope this works for you...
