  1. When I have ripped the movie (any movie), I have problem to choose which title I'm going to use when I only want the movie and not the extras.

I use DVD shrink or Nero Recode in order to shrink the movie to fit the singel-layer DVD. I just tried to shrink a movie and then there were four titles with the length 1.42.35. Which of thoose are the right to choose? I'm talking about this in general ways, because I have experienced that this happens very often. Is there some kind of rules I can use to find the right title?

Hope you understand my english, and thank you in advance.

DVDShrink has a preview option. Use it to see that you've got the correct title and audio stream.
    If in doubt, Google it.

What jimmalenko said is the best way. In general, though, the first one is widescreen, English lanquage over 90% of the time, at least for US DVD's.

When there are 2 titles it could be one is for 16x9 and the other is for 4x3, wise to preview both to see which one you need for your TV. At times there are more than 2 titles and each title has a different angle. As a rule of thumb I almost always select title 1, either way you only need to choose 1 title.

  5. Also, make sure you preview something in the main part of the movie. Sometimes the opening titles and sequence is shot widescreen. I've made the mistake once or twice thinking I had widescreen only to watch it go to fullscreen once the actual movie started.
