I have filled my 250G hard drive with vobs already. I used DVDShrink without compression creating one large vob. This works great to view over the network with a Buffalo LinkTheater, but I need to compress. Is there anything out there that will take a 4-6 Gig VOB and convert/compress without too much of a loss in quality? Thanks in advance

I'd go AutoGK and convert to XVID, or Windows Movie Maker and convert to WMV with the High Quality video (large) template.

Quality (or loss of) is all about the settings you use.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. ReJig is by far the best program for squishing down mpeg-2 files without introducing visible compression artifacts. You can probably squeeze your 4 gig mpeg-2 file down to around 3 gigs using ReJig without any visible compression artifacts at all, and if you want to get more extreme you coudl probably squish it down to 2 gigs or less without offensive compression artifacts.
Best of all, ReJig is freeware.
