Background to what I've done:
I used DVD Decrypter to get files off DVD and then used AVS VideoConverter 3.1 to convert main movie files to MPEG.
when I played the film, I noticed that the audio was about a sec behind the picture.
any ideas thanks Dave

How did you combine the VOBs into one MPEG? Editing a MPEG file can cause lose of sync.

I'm not sure why you would want one MPEG file. Wouldn't it have been easier to DVDShrink and just select the main movie? -
