    Hi guys,

I was merrily computing along when Norton reported this:

    c:\windows\system32\svkp.sys

    hacktool.rootkit

What the heck is it and how do I get rid of it?

    Hi budz,

Thanks for the link. I stayed up most of the night and still can't rid of the "rootkit". It shows up on only one application. I am going to uninstall that app and reinstall. Won't hurt to try.

    thanks again

i keep a ghost image and re-write over difficult to remove stuff. you may lose updates depending on how often you update your back-up.

someday they'll come up with a way around the ghost.........
