  1. i used your search engine to find a form on this but could not. i hope this the right form. i have several 80mb avi files that i'm trying to convert and burn to a dvd. i'v converted them with tmpgenc.convermovie.dvdsanta.and vso divx to dvd. they all converted and i burned the files to dvd. but i get very bad quality. so my question is am i trying to do something that can't be done or am i doing it wrong? i'v converted them to 720x480 4400 and 4800 khx and 16:9 and 4:3 and they all come out bad quality. is there a guide i can use to do this. thanks for any and all help.

"80MB AVI files" doesn't exactly tell us much about your files, except that they're 80MB and they're video in an AVI container

Without the basic information about your source (info from GSpot or AVICodec), we're all pretty much guessing as to where you're going wrong. I'm guessing that they're probably 320 x 240 and so when you're converting to 720 x 480, that's one good reason why they're bad quality.

    http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm might assist.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. what software do i use to copy gspot and post it here. your right about the 320x240. i'll get you the rest of the imformation as soon as i can. thanks for the fast reply.

You can make a screen shot by using the alt+prnt scrn snapshot feature of windows. Then upload the saved jpg (by pasting it in microsoft paint or an editor of your choice).

But you can edit out the title of your video. We only need the statistical information. (upload the file in the file upload section at the bottom of the posting screen - though be sure the filename doesn't have any spaces in it)

The results are trash because your source it lousy..Look @ the 'kbps' in your screenshot...168?...WAY too low to bother. The frame size..Asking 352x192->720x480 is too much to ask of even the best resizing filters, let alone an AIO tool..And the audio..48kb - must sound like a scratchy tin can.

Remember kids, you can polish a turd, but in the end you've still got a turd.

Your source material is crap. It's also warez.
Go buy the DVDs. They were released in 2001 or 2002.
