    I seem to have a quality issue with home videos (no porn). DVD playback is perfect, but the color on home videos, some avi just seem out of wack.

    Any ideas?

    It may be a codec problem. You might try VLC Media Player. It uses it own codecs. If that cures the problem, then that would point to your codecs as the fault.
