    I just bought 8x DVD+R's and my drive won't read them. I have a LITE-ON SOHW-1633S. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Some burners won't read the maximum advertised speed on some media, even with the latest firmware. I have an LG GSA-4120B with the latest firmware which will not read 16X on Verbatim DVD +R (MCC03RG20) 16X disks, which can be successfully read as 16X by my NEC ND3540 and Pioneer DVR-109.
    The LG can only see 4X max on these disks.

    Mummer, I have that same exact drive and it doesnt have that problem
    If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0
