SVCD2DVD .NET Framework

when i go to instal SVCS2DVD a message pops up saying i have to install
.NET Framework.
What's that all about

i could download it and install it but why does SVCD2DVD require me to do it?
no other programs do.

svcd2dvd is a .Net framework application so it needs the .net framework to be installed... i can name you many other .net applications.....

Years ago, alot of VB programs needed the VB runtime to be installed...

.Net is standard on XP SP2 so as others have said just install it otherwise wait till your OS includes it by default.
