    hey, im trying to watch movies on my tv and i can see windows explorer but when i try to play a video file on my pc... i cant see it on my tv, the picture is blanked out with a purple block.

    No worries now, i realised my settings where set to monitor and tv... i now set just tv only and it works a treat.
