I posted the end of August asking if anyone had ever dealt with the so called "liteon support". I called them 3 times and never did get the coveted email telling me the next steps. The DVD recorder just stopped loading and would "click" everytime you put a DVD into it.
I had purchased a $16 "plan" with K-Mart when I bought the DVD recorder. So I tried to get it either fixed or replaced through them. The DVD recorder was not a yr old. In our phone conversations the lady with K-Mart said this wasn't the first time this had happened and it was becoming a problem.
They sent me a prepaid mailing label to National Electronics Warranty. The letter with the label said it was going to their U.L. Office Repair Center. I called the number on the paper a couple of times. The first time it wasn't on the table yet, the second time they were waiting on a part.
A message was left on my answering machine today (10-19-05) that I would be receiving a check for the total amt I paid for the machine including tax in a two weeks.
I don't plan on replacing it with another liteon.
