  1. Has anyone encoded to xvid with procoder2 ?, every time i try it just hangs and does nothing, confused!

    Xvid to what with procoder? Xvid is highly compressed MPeg4 based, about as tight as you would ever want.

    yep i believe procoder is strictly mpeg2..

    ..you must have gotten that special version from your torrent client..even now it's eating your computer alive...

  6. i don't know if it says so or not, but when you get an video encoder option that allows you to choose xvid as the encoder, i presume you can choose that option

    I really wouldn't recommend MPEG encoders for encoding XviD or anything via VfW. It isn't what they were primarily designed for.

    If you want to convert wmv to an XviD avi, frameserve the wmv to VDub or use mencoder.

    Yeh i thought i had it... Every time i frameserve the .wmv to vdub it starts to encode but stops at 98% Any idea why
