Hi guys I am having trouble copying converted files to dvd.
I have used dvd shrink and TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress successfully except for the picture size on my tv.
I have a Sony 50" lcd and the dvds I made will not stretch to both sides of the tv leave a huge black bar all the way around the picture.
I know some letterbox dvd's have the space top and bottom but the problem I have now with dvd's I made is the sides are wasted space.
I thought I was making them to be 16:9 aspect ratio
any ideas what I did wrong?
I want to get it right as I am authoring many home movies to dvd....I want to know how to set it up widescreen or fullscreen but not make the picture lose quality.
any ideas?
thanks

Apparently you did not make them anamorphic 16:9.
Are you home movies 16:9? If not, the only way to make them 16:9 is to stretch them horizontally or cut off the top and bottom of the frame.
