I'm using tmpgenc xpress 3.0 and when I encode and video it takes up to 8hrs to convert no matter how big of a file it is. Is there any settings to change to pick up the process a little. Thanx All.

If no filters etc being selected then check that it is NOT on VBR (2pass) is it? That will double the encoding time as it analyses first. Make sure nothing else is hogging your RAM; Make sure 'Preview' option is unticked in Xpress. Be aware that Xpress is very slow anyway. TMPGenc Plus is still best IMO; slow (Xpress slower) but good; doesn't look as pretty but still good. Damn TMPGenc Plus is just GOOD!!! LOL. Consider doing a batch encode and then go to bed!!!! All done in the morning-maybe!!!

Switching from 2-pass VBR to 1-pass Constant Quality will double your speed. But it's hard to control the file size. 1-pass Constant Bitrate is just as fast and is easy to control for file size, but you'll have to use high bitrates.
The other major setting that has a big effect on conversion time is Motion Search Precision. -
