This website needs a facelift!

This has got to be one of the greatest websites ever, but it sure is sore on the eyes! The greatest video encyclopedia on the planet shouldn't have to look so craptastic. Can't someone out there polish it up?!

I think that would be a major undertaking to port all of the mods onto a new theme. I don't know if Baldrick or ANYONE has that kinda time.

I've seen the results of sites that "upgraded" so that they could have "a little flash." More often than not, they went from useful to craptastic. VideoHelp.com has a clean, easy to use layout. Why sacrifice what's working -- and working well -- on the altar of "all flash, no substance"? Personally, I'm here for information, not to look at glittery graphics.

Personally, I think that VideoHelp.com is at the moment an example of EFFICIENCY. There are few forums that load as quickly especially considering how much content is often in each thread. I'm all for eye candy, but not if it reduces the usability of the forum.

This website needs a facelift like Media Player Classic needs a facelift. It's functional, easy to search, quick and has all the information you'd ever want or need.

I completely agree with this, when you start getting too fancy it takes longer to load and then becomes real slow and then real annoying and eventually, the computer gets hit with a hammer and the site becomes useless b/c you have no computer to use to look at it. I like the idea of maximizing efficiency. it also makes the site easy to navigate and read.

Agreed, that site was perfectly fine until CNET got their hands on it. Now it's useless.

I think it's fine as is. Maybe add the forum index as a navigation panel on the left like the current "What Is", "How To", etc. but nothing major. Any change should be slight and only noticeable in a good way.

It's already there ..... Try the "Forum" link under the "Other" heading.
