    Does anyone have an experience, or knowledge, which of the 2 encodes better AC3 2/0 out of wav, at 192KBps -- TMPGEnc 3 XPress or Sony Vegas 5.0b? The wav files are from movies captured from cable TV.

    All numbers being equal, you will probably be hard pressed to see any difference outside of doing some very low level analysis. You may find Vegas is a little faster. I like Vegas because it's audio mixing capabilities are excellent, and it does 5.1
