  1. I've been playing with TDA for more than a week now and cannot fathom how to create a menu structure more or less like this:

    Main Menu
    1971
    1972
    1973

Clicking on any of those menu entries will take the viewer to another Menu like this:

    1971
    Clip1
    Clip2
    Clip3

Clicking on any Clip entry, will play the movie.

I have learned how to create a straight line menu with all the bells and whistles allowed by TDA. But could not fathom how to nest my menus.

Do I need another tool to accomplish that?

Thank you very much for any help, hint.

TDA doesn't have a lot of flexibility. You could make a 1971 track and have the clips be chapters. Then just use track and chapter menus. I think that's as close as you're going to get.

You might be better off trying dvdlab for complicated menu structures. You can drop any menu anywhere and link it to anything you like.

  4. on your source setup screen..the left side of the screen were it has a box untitled track1 for your first file 1971 added..below that it says add new track..add your 1972 file to that track..after that add the 1973 track to the add new file below that track..you should have 3 separate tracks..go to your create menu screen and click menu display settings..on the general tab check the main menu and track menu..below that firstplay action..scroll down to display main menu..below that iaction to take after each track has been play..scroll down to display track menu..click ok..also check the first play action box on the top right corner below the option box and should read display main menu..see it that'll work

Yep, it is really quite simple in TDA, plus you get all the benefits of an easy-to-use interface, if at the expense of the flexibility to literally do anything, but at a cost of a steeper learing curve.

Each item that you wish to appear on the main menu needs to be a seperate track. Then for each item's individual menu, add your clips to that one track.
    If in doubt, Google it.
