Depends on what you mean by 'wireless'. Some KBs use infared and have to be pointed at the IR receiver. Some use radio signals and then the receiving antenna has to be close enough to work. You may also get more radio interference or noise within a car.
Plan on doing some encoding during the morning commute? -
Right if the reciever is in distance and the signal can reach yes.
Kinda like the wireless keyboard/track combo that I found that one time when I wanted to put a computer in my car.

7" Monitor
Now if the computer could just learn to drive correctly. -
I'm working on a carPC for my truck.

I just had a brain drain as I thought that with the car moving the signal would be stationary but it would obviously reach the PC due it travelling at very high speeds compared to the car
I was thinking of using a cordless mouse but having my laptop in the boot with a few TFT's monitors within the car
those black car pc's are awesome (the one linked it discontinued) and I was wondering when I would see them. It will soon be a lot cheaper and easier to buy stuff that that for your car 8)

I had an idea of using my old laptop in the boot (trunk) with a couple of 7" or so TFT monitors. I'd then just have the cordless mouse for whoever wants to use the PC
. It was just a daft idea but if I can get car pc stuff in the UK then I'll look into it
those systems above have to be showing as the CD is within the unit. My ideal system would be something like the CD player I have now but with the removable faceplate like most car stereos. That would obviously that would be accesed by the PC which would be tucked safetly away elsewhere via say a USB cable
that means the PC unit wouldn't have to be restricted to the size of those above and may offer better spec possibilities
thanls for the link and I can see that pic has something like a CD slot but can you get stuff like what I described now? -
i think right now the closest you'll come is to mount a slot-loading dvd drive in the dash
