  1. Hello,

being not a pro, I'm trying to convert a SVCD movie (MPG2, NTSC, 29,97 fps 480 x 480) to a VCD movie (MPG1, PAL, 352 x 288, 25 fps) with TMPEGEnc. I know there's quality deterioration, however, the movie plays jerky after encoding. My suggestion is that this is due to converting from 29,97 to 25 fps. I've already tried the "inverse telecine" filter in TMPEGEnq, but that didn't give better results (maybe it has nothing to do with that at all, I'm not sure on that).

Can anyone give me a hint what to do so the vid won't play jerky after encoding?

    TIA, Baerchen

  2. Why don't you try to convert it to a NTSC-VCD (352x240@29,97FPS) instead?

    Then it should play fine...
