    I found this vid lying around on the net but it's such a weird avi, my msp, winencoder, vdub, qtime, vlc, even camstudio won't touch it. It says it's a windows format...but all i get from microsoft is the "we don't know" page.
    I need it into a workable avi or whatever...

    Done. In linux with tovid & mencoder. Converted to vcd in less than 15 seconds

  3. If you open this avi file with DVdate, you will see that it is made with the codec i263. Look on the web to find a download of this codec, and you will be able to convert it with VirtualDub or even into DV type2 with DVdate.

    WMP should have just gotten the codec for me...ugh
