    Hi

I have authored a DVD and get errors in architect when trying to burn it. The DVD comprises of some motion scene selection menus and a 2hr 20 mins title 01.

Architect says that it cannot find a suitable layer break point. I have chapters in my title every 3 minutes and the stated location when architect wants the layer break has a chapter point in it.

The project has 2 layers and is oppopsite track path. I did burn the movie as an ISO which was subsequently burned with DVD decrypter and this seemed to work but my media does not read back in the middle and I am thinking this is not related to this issue as the movie plays fine at the start and end (hence plays OK in layer 1 and 2 in major parts).

Anyway I would like advice on what to do with such a large title. I can split it in many various tools into 2 titles but would rather get architect to put the layer break in the dvd for me but it won't.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi

I have not figured out the answer to this at all. Basically I have had 2 burn failures on the same media for this movie. I am going to try and get hold of some better media. Any suggestions?

My recorder is a NEC 3520. It has a modified firmware (liggie etc.) on it. I was just a little surprised that Architect complained that there was not a suitable layer break point. I would have expected dvda to see my chapter at 1.06 and use it. I am unure whether this is a bug or whether I should have created another title at this point.

This is a pain in the a**e. I would have expected any decent piece of software (especially DVDA) to have dealt with this and manipulated my movie to ensure it works seamlessly.

    Thanks and Regards
