Recorded some TV programs last night on my Pioneer 210. This morning, half asleep (my excuse for stupidity), I hit "initialize" rather than "finalize". Any way to "un-initialize" the disc or am I SOL as I suspect? Thanks in advance.

The pay version of ISOBuster might help....might.
I'm not sure what initialize actually does to the disc so might is the key word here...

    Thanks hech54.

Downloaded ISOBuster. Although it took awhile to get the registration key, the software worked well. It was able to extract the VOB files intact, although it appeared some of the IFO files were missing, so I didn't try to re-create the entire DVD structure. Used Rejig to demux the VOB files into M2V and AC3 components. TDA was able to read these without any problem.

Although a bit time-consuming the procedure worked OK. Again, thanks for the suggestion.

Glad it worked out. I recall anxiously waiting for the key as well....trying to save the only remaining video of my son's first birthday...
