    Hi
I've a Sony PC120 camcorder. When I play the video from the camcorder, I can see the date and time on the screen but when I captured this video using FIREWIRE card, the resulting video on the PC doesn't have the date and time. It's a pity that I lose the time and date.

I capture using Pinnacle Studio. Is there anything that I am missing?
Any help in this regard will be very useful

    Thanks

The date and time stamp information is there, provided you have not re-encoded the DV avi from your camera. I use Visual DV Time Stamp to add the date and time stamp. This app reads the date and time stamp information and lets you choose location, font, size font and so on and then it will add it to your video so that it is visable when you view it. Costs $20 but is well worth it. There are probably freeware apps around as well. See the tools section of this website, look in the DV section.
