I like to tape football games from tv and they usually run 3 hours or so.
I have a winfast tv2000 deluxe and use the winfast pvr
i can allocate ~10GB/game, so what codec would allow me to capture at the optimal quality?
thanks

3 Hours, 10 GB? So what's wrong with DVD compliant mpeg2?
By the way, you've got confused somewhere along the line, a football match only lasts 90 minutes, 45 each way....... -
football as in american football, which is 15 mts x 4 qtrs
except the clock stops a lot, so it's easily a good 3 hours. -
i tried mpeg2 to record, but it screwed up the audio whenever it split the files.
i guess i'll try it w/o splitting files and make a big 10gb file.
