  1. im using tmpgenc to encode a working (works using wmp) avi into a kvcd file format using a template the strange thing is that the exact same template works with all my other videos i also used video fixer to try and solve the problem but to no avail can anyone give me some ideas on what to try next?

    Put it into Gspot or AVIcodec and see what kind of audio format you have. Just because WMP plays it means nothing. It may be MP3 VBR audio or some format that TMPGEnc doesn't understand.

    So AC3 audio. Well if you didn't have a decoder installed then TMPGEnc simply would have not loaded the avi as an audio source (something that I would hope people would notice), if you did have one installed then it should have loaded and converted fine.

    I thought that KVCD templates were video only anyway?
