Hello, I would like to know if there is software available for creating my own polyphonic ring tunes from .wav or .mp3 files, for my Cell Phone ?

    Thanks....

Yes, if it plays wav or mp3 or other "compressed audio" format. If you're asking if you can make polyphonic midi out of wav/mp3, then no.

I'm 99% certain I found some tools via google that can do this.

    http://www.intelliscore.net/ is one.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Thanks jimmalenko, I thought there might be something out there. I was looking on the net for some good Christmas ring tones for my Nokia cell phone, and since my cellphone can only play polyphonic ring tones there's not a lot of choice. So I thought there must be some way to convert my .mp3 or .wav Christmas tunes into something I can play on my Cell phone.

Beg to differ: claims it can do this. Out of curiosity, I tried this app, and the result is, to put it mildly, disappointing.
Think about it - it's related to speech to text, which is still not very reliable, not even under perfect condition and hours of training the speech recognition engine. And that's just one instrument, playing one tune. Now, a full music score is a group of people all talking at once...
