To copy dvd-rw's all you need to do is a normal back up. Rip (or even drag and drop) video from dvd-rw to harddrive then burn using what ever burning program you have.

dvd burners burn dvd-rw's aslo. DVD burners burn +r/-r/rw/-rw now. So any dvd burner will work. I have a benq 1620 ($40) and have made 100+ dvds without any problems.

That is correct. You insert your first DVD-RW into the slot on the front and perfect replica comes out of a slot in the back of your PC. Some PC's have the second slot concealed underneath so you might have to lift it up to look around. Make sure your system unit is switched off and not connected to anything when you do this.

To burn a dvd you need to
    1. rip the dvd-rw to your hard drive in ISO mode, using dvddecrypter

    2. Then you can Use dvddecrypter to burn the iso image to a dvd.

You will use the dvd burner (benq) for both the ripping and burning. You can only do one disc at a time.....If your stil confused keep posting, and keep reading threads...

Actually www.newegg.com only has the Benq1625 and the benq1640 now. I'd go with the Benq1640, all the reviews I have read gives it high makrs all around....

Have you never used a computer?
In and out, in and out, in and out, in and out, in and out.

Just like a floppy, CD, etc.
Blanks goes in, write data on it, out if comes.

If you want to copy a disc, you copy from the disc to the hard drive.
Take out the disc, put in a blank.
Write the data from the ahrd drive to the blank.

If you have two drives in proper configuration,
you can copy "on the fly" which goes from source disc to blank disc,
    no hard drive needed.

This is a great burner drive:

I am guessing the original poster does not understand that the drive needs to be installed in a PC case or what is meant by "ripping program" and is best redirected to a newbie guide?

  14. Just in case...

I think the original poster is looking for something like this:

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=92

    A DVD/CD duplicator.

My guess is they are recording with a home DVD recorder onto a DVD-RW and want to make some additional copies before they erase it. They probably don't know they can use a computer for this or simply don't want to.

    Then again...maybe not.

  15. Doesnt one of the new Liteon Drives have a one touch copying thing when you push copy, put in the disc to be copied, take it and put in a dvdr? Maybe this would be easier for someone who doesnt do much with computer.

Yeah, after the 100th time reading this post... i think he is NOT talking about a standalone or a dvd duplicator.
But in his defense... everyone had to start somewhere at some point, it's not like we were born with the ability to know how or what to do or what we needed to do any type of dvd's 8)

Just curious, OP, are you recording those DVD-RWs in DVD-Video mode or DVD-VR mode (where you can edit them)? If you don't know, and haven't changed the DVD recorder setting, then you're probably recording them in DVD-Video mode.

DVD-Video copied DVDs will be compatible with standalone DVD players, but DVD-VR copied DVDs won't (I think).
