    im trying to erase my dvd +rw but its acting like its a dvd+r or something

    how are you trying to do it? Nero for example has a menu option to erase/format +rw discs.

    ive tried a few diferent ways through programs or what not, ill look for that option in nero though

    Nero wouldn't be in CDR mode, would it??? I think you're able to designate a drive as DVD or CD.

    "tracking servo error". Only cure is to return the drive for a repair or replacement. I've been through the "try different disc brand", "try different burn program", "try different erase program" as you probably have and at best it's only a short term remedy. Cheaper in the long run to buy a new burner.
