I decided to make a little logo for when I make SVCDs, so that it look pseudo-legit. So I made a bitmap that says SVCD and some other stuff, with a dimension of 480x480, the resolution of normal SVCDs and whatnot. Now, when using Nero, I add this bitmap first, and then the mpeg-2's after that. For some reason whenever i used jpegs, the cd would not play properly. Okay, now when I first put the cd in my Pioneer dv-333, the Logo is offset to the left, and after the 10 seconds I have it set to display, the movie starts and everything is okay with that. Now, if I stop the svcd completely, and the push play, the logo is centered normally. What gives? Now, it could be that when my dvd player starts spinning it for the first time, it thinks it is a vcd, and not a svcd, so the picture is offset due to the difference in the resolution between vcd and svcd, and then when it starts to play the movie it knows that is should be at 480x480. Okay, and something else weird, when I first put it in, and the logo is offset, and I push stop, and then start again, the logo is okay. At this point it hadn't even started playing the video! I may be obsessing over this too much, but I would like for this too look allright. Now, am I even making this logo stuff correctly? To recap: created a bitmap, added it before any mpgs, and it does not initially display correctly. Thanks to anyone that helps out. Oh yeah, watching The Gift right now, and it rocks. Ahh, a topless Katie Holmes.
