service pack 2 problems

hello ive got a few problems with ulead dvd workshop and videostudio they wont run,ive turned of the firewall ive put them in the exceptions and they still will not run,i get the ulead dvd workshop has encountered a problem error all the time,even if i unistall and reinstall i get the same problem,in running xp pro media center edition with service pack 2 built in.any help please

Try looking for updates to the two programs that have problems.

went to ulead site updated the program and still not working same message any other ideas please
please please some help on this im really stuck on it

It's nothing to do with the in-built firewall, unless they're trying to phone home. Your best bet is to contact Ulead support or try their forums.

got it working heres what you have to do this also works for Ulead Photo Express 4.0 and video studio

Delete or rename uvavi.vio files in C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD Workshop 2 or Ulead Photo Express 4.0 My Custom Edition\vio\ folder. Features relate to AVI file format would be lost.
