Please help! It's driving me crazy. I loaded a .vob file into VideoRedo in order to just trim off the last 3 minutes but when I save the file it only saves as an .mpeg file. I renamed it to a .vob file but when I play it now, the file seems to have moved around. It begins in the middle of the programme, the cut appears in the middle (which is the end of the show) and then it continues with the first part of the show, last!!! Arrgh, what am I doing wrong, please? I mean, the cut seems to have worked perfectly but why has the file rearranged itself? Thanks in advance.

Go over to the redo site, They have great Support.I heard over there that this is a big problem with Hacked Version of the Program.(Not Saying yours Is).

When you go to Videoredo's site, go to the forum, that is where the help is! Their support is excellent!
VRD does not author, which is why you can only save it as an mpeg. Once a vob has been altered and saved as an mpeg I think it has to be re-authored. I have seen threads regarding renaming mpg to vob but I am not sure it is always successful. I use TMPGenc DVD Author to do my authoring. It is fast and very reliable.bits -
You were right, it seems that my problem was caused by renaming the .mpeg ".vob". it seems to be a bit hit and miss when this is done. It does need to be reauthored like you said. Thanks again for the help.
