I want to make a copy of a DVD I burned with iDVD. I used mac the ripper to extract the files from the DVD, but I don't know where to go from here to burn a new DVD that will work. Whats the word on this?

    Thanks for any help,

DVD2OneX, followed by Toast. Do a search, there's at least ten thousand posts in this forum on this very subject

You really only need MTR if the DVD has a copyguard on it.

  4. Roxio Popcorn or Roxio Toast can both be used.

They both can copy DVDs easily.
Both also have compression capabilities to squeeze a large disc to fit onto a standard blank DVD.

  5. You would need toast 7 to do the compression, toast 6 will not compress. Or Popcorn or DVD2OneX (which I prefer). Of course if the resulting file is less then 4400mb or you are using a DL disc then you will not need to compress.

You don't need to compress it if the DVD media you burned to is the same size the new DVD media is. No need for iDVD, no need for DVD2One, no need for Mac THe Ripper. Just open Toast and select the copy funtion. Plain and easy.
