Premiere Pro does not support native MPEG2 editing. And MPEG is meant as a delivery format and not to be edited.

Yes i know But it happens sometimes we forget to embed somthing like titles or whatever so rendering an 1hr footage takes so much time to output again. I can import MPG now but the problem is the preview in my program window in PP seems to be so jittery while in the source window it plays smoothly i tried to render the MPG in the timeline i notice theres no Audio being rendered? any reason for this? hardware problems i think? thanks

Not a hardware problem. That is how it is supposed to work. Download the MPEG Pro trial plugin and then do your one time conversion.
