    I have an AVI video, but the audio is very quiet, and if I turn it up, there's alot of background noise. What program, and how do I normalize the audio so that the volume is normal?

    Thanks.

  2. Try this:

    Start -> All Programs -> AC3Filter -> AC3Filter
    Config

    Turn up the master gain.

    Does this change the actual audio in the file, or just a setting on my computer? Because I'm planning to burn the video later, thats why I want to normalize the audio.

  4. That only changes how load the video plays on the computer. That AC3 decoder normally plays at -20 dB. That's almost always the problem when people complain about audio in their AVI file not being loud enough.

    If you really need to increase the volume of the recording just about all video editing programs have that function. Or you can demux the audio, edit with an audio editing program.

    Press Settings. Select the Audio tab. Check Use Audio Edit. Press Setting. Check Change Volume. Press Normalize.

    If that leaves you with too much hiss you'll have to export the audio and use an audio editing program.

  8. What format is the audio in(use AVICodec)?
    If AC3/MP2/MP3 use AC3Tool to convert to WAV then use an audio editor such as Goldwave to remove hiss and normalize.
