Just got a new Panasonic 50 inch plasma model TH-50PX50U last month. This thing is great so far, have a regular dvd player using s-video, picture is so and so, now I decided to invest in a high end dvd player and just bought a denon 2910 yesterday. When I hook it up to the plasma using hdmi, I don't see the picture in the screen. I hear sound but no picture. I followed the instructions in the manual but no luck. I also check the settings on the TV, the hdmi setting is set to auto. Does anyone in the forum have a Panasonic tv? Or have experience the same problem.

I'm new in the forum and just started reading up on this stuff. I'll stop by to the local 6th ave electronic store by me and ask someone there if they can help me about this.

    thanks in advance...

    Update:

I went to my local 6th ave. electronics store and the guys over there are no help. They told me to call Denon's customer service and ask about my problem. Anyway I went home and tried a couple of things:

    1) I have an LG plasma 42 inch in my bedroom that has dvi connection and hook up the denon unit to it to see if it would work. To my surprise the player did not work either. This makes me think that its something on the setup on the dvd player not the TV. I have another dvd player(also an LG via hdmi to dvi) that is hooked up on my LG plasma and that works fine.

    2) I hooked the denon player back to my Panasonic tv but this time I use the s-video. I was able to go thru the setup menu.

After that I was able to set the player to hdmi/1080i format.

    This player rocks!!!!!!!
