  1. My sister has an old, aerobics VHS tape that's getting worn out (She plays it every day). I told her I would put it on a DVD for her.

When I try to capture (I still say "Record") I can hear the sound, but no video. The screen is all white.

One thing I notice is when I change channels, go back to 3, the video shows up for a second or two before the screen goes blank.

It does not say copy protected or anything on the VHS, or during the video. What could be the problem?

I'm going from my VCR to my TV Tunner Card. I've tried in both my TV Tunner Card Software, plus in VS 7. Both are blank screen after a second or two.

    Thank you,
    Chris.

Chances are it is macrovision. You should be able to select the video input and view the video with your software. However, when you activate the capture portion of the software the macrovision protection prevents the video from being viewable.

  3. Thank you for the reply.
Doens't it say macrovision on the video or when you play it? Also, I can't see it when I just try to watch it. It never shows up except when I switch channels.
