No audio after conversion to mpg 2

I captured a saved program from my PVR with CapDVHS, then converted the *.ts file with ProjectX. I opened the *.m2p file in TMGPEnc XPress, edited out the commercials, and saved it as a standard NTSC mpg2. This file has no audio stream, and after opening up the original m2p file in TMGPEnc again, that file has no audio either...except that it clearly does when I just play it in WMP. What happaned, and what did I do wrong?

didn't you get any mpa/mp2 or other audio file when you used projectx? it splits the video and audio.
