I'm fairly new to this.I've used the video blaster movie maker, results sucked. what will give me the best looking vcds. I have a pioneer dvd333 and are not sure if it will play svcd. I am looking to buy a new capture card dvc2 or something like it.I am willing to capture and use something like TMPGEnc to convert to vcd format if this will help quality. I am hoping for results near vhs quality. any good advice please let me know. thanks taz.,

  2. hey tazzila. I just started useing Dazzle DVC II pci and am getting good results. Capture in MPEG 1 with a video bitrate of 4000. Encode to VCD useing TMPGEnc with a 2000 cbr. Of coarse the quality of the finished product depends on the quality of the tape that is used for import. Check the DVD player compatibility list to see what formats your Pioneer will play. Good luck

  4. In movie star you can set the max size of the file, but i am affraid that I don't know anything about the DVC 50. Are you running up against the 4g limit that wndows imposes?
