    Hello everybody,

I have dvdlabpro and have had it for quite some time now and really happy with it. One question though, I've had dvd's which were created with dvdlabpro. If u go to scene selection, the scenes are actually moving (showing the actual video). When i do it i can select scenes without problems but they're a picture in my compilation.

First i make chapters in the movie, then i add scene selection. Delete excisting frames and replace them by other ones. What am i doing wrong that causes the scenes to be shown as a picture instead of streaming video? Big thnx in advance.

You have to create a motion menu, instead of a standard scene selection menu. Look up the help files for Render Motion and you should see a description of how to create this type of menu.

Personally, I would consider creating the video background for this type of menu outside of DVD Lab Pro, then importing it as a background to you menu. The Render Motion function of DVD Lab is somewhat limited.

Don't understand, U mean u can add the mpv file as an image/background? Never actually heard of this. I have dvdlabpro. Could u confirm this since this would be the solution for me. Thnx again for the quick reply

Exactly what gunslinger said. You should really check out the help file for this as there are alot of different things you can do.

Not only can you add a motion background along with audio and have stills as buttons, but you can have multiple motion buttons - even on motion backgrounds. There's really no limit..... apart from the fact that the length of the motion clip should be under 10 seconds.... but I've found ways to extend that to up to 3 minutes using other progs. There is a physical limit to the size of a DVD menu. I believe it must be under 1 gb and fit within a single VOB. Otherwise, the world is you oyster. I prefer to create outside DVD Lab Pro because tools such as Vegas and After Effects offer a wider array of effects and talents than DVD Lab Pro.

1 gigabyte? For just the menu?

Oh man, on my next menu project I'm having a field day.

And here I thought 20 switched menus with 2.5 min (average) motion backgrounds plus audio, 19 alternate intro menus, and 19 playlists was maybe a little much.

    God, I luv dvdlab.
