  1. I instald TMPGenc 2.02.31.119. I would like convert avi to Mpeg. I got the error " avi can not open, or unsuppoerted. Who have the codec or plugin for TMPGenc 2.02.31.119 in combination with XP for me?

    go to the tools section/codecs on the left menu and download the crystal pack of codecs. Uninstall any prior divx codecs etc first and then install this package.
    solve your problem straight away!!!!

    He meant TOOLS on the left menu bar in VCDHelp.com, not TMPGEnc.

    Krammie, probably it is enough to set Directshow multimedia file reader to highest priority. I assume you can play the avi with windows media player, so you don't need a different codec.
    TMPG> option> enviromental setting> VFAPI

  8. I need the codecs because i like to play the converted AVI2MPEG1 on my home DVD player Philips 622. I downloded the Kristalpack of codecs en installed. But it dosn't works. What could be the problem?
