HELP can not Backup Alexander dvd

Im using anydvd, shrink, dvd decyipter, dvd fab, and I keep getting an error on vob1. My machine just hangs, in a cyclical error. Has anyone been able to back this up. If so how did you do and what software did you use. thanks in advace.

It might be I will check later tonight. Is anyone else having problems backing this up.

Yeah, sounds like a dirty or faulty disc. Did that one with DVD43 and VobBlanker. No problem.

BTW, I feel ripped off having bought that movie, and dumb for backing it up before watching it. :P (If you haven't read any historical accounts of Alexander, e.g. Arrian, Tarn, Wilcken, etc., maybe it's tolerable). Two things bugged me the most:
1) All sources agree Alexander had charisma as a leader like no other. And it was in the heroic mold, leading from the front, as opposed to generalship as commonly understood today. Although his tactics were quite astute, he was unmatched in inspiring men to fight for him. The guy who played Alexander was always shouting in that cracked voice, no charisma, no nothing.
2) The battles were cartoonish, the violence almost pornographic. In edged-weapon warfare, the real killing only starts when one side breaks and runs. And the movie has Persians practically throwing themselves on the Macedonian sarissas. Bleh. Stupid.

Sorry, got carried away. Oh, Val Kilmer was pretty good as Philip.

Thanks to everyone on this thread. I got it done, no problems. It must have been dirty. I cleaned it and not more problems.
