I've been to a lot of concerts (mostly 60s/70s) though it's been a few years since I've been to one. The one I enjoyed the most was probably ZZ Top. I got to see Jimi Hendrix in concert ... but it was during a time when the drugs were already taking their toll. The band that opened for him, Vanilla Fudge, was great ... had the audience standing on its feet asking for an encore. Nobody asked Hendrix for one. Fleetwood Mac was great. Have also seen the Stones, Deep Purple, Jefferson Starship, Don Grady (aka Yellow Balloon), Heart, Blue Oyster Cult, Iron Butterfly, Beach Boys, etc., etc., etc.

Went to many concerts while living in Knoxville, Tn. in the 70's.
Best were Foghat, ZZ Top, Charlie Daniels Bachman Turner Overdrive(BTO) Man that was a loud one!
Most likley none would have played if the University Of Tennessee wasn't there.

Best concert ever saw...Probably Doobie Brothers in 1987, all 12 members plus producer Ted Templeman were onstage.

U2 Joshua Tree was great in 87

Fleetwood Mac was good in 87 (No Lindsey tho)

    AC/DC was great in 88

Styx & Eagles were really good Mid 90s

Prince & the Revolution/Purple Rain Tour Really Good

Bonnie Raitt was really good in Memphis in May.

Ratt/Bon Jovi (Bon Jovi was the opener) on New Year's Eve in San Diego in the Mid 80s.

Boz Scaggs was excellent at Memphis in May

Sarah McLachlan was really good at Memphis in May

Saw both Violent Femmes & the Pointer Sisters for FREE so both concerts were really good

and i could go on & on & on...

    Later!

There are many ways to measure success. You just have to find your own yardstick.
