  1. Is there a way to convert .m2v files to either .avi or.mpeg? I was unable to open the file with TMPG or Virtual Dub. What program would be best for this conversion?

    .m2v is the video stream only of an mpeg compressed asset. You should be able to open it with virtualdubmpeg2 or VLC, depending on what you intend to do with it. Changing the extension to mpg *might* trick tmpgenc into opening it. But remember, this is video only.

  3. It actually is video and sound, i have run it on media player classic. Im gonna give that vdubmpeg2 a shot but I selected it under all files with tmpg and it gave me an error.
