add subtitle

hello i just download a movie cd1 and cd2 it's in .avi so i use winavi to convert it to dvd format.vob,also download subtitle for the movie cd1 and cd2 come with .idx and .sub file,point is how do i add the sub to the vob and burn it to dvd using dvdshrink or some other option?i did search and read alot since last night and did couple of test but it doesn't work can anyone help please.

Since you've already covnerted the files to VOB, now you'll probably have to auhtor your dvd - and this is the time to insert the subs. First of all, you've got to check out three things:
-if your software allows you to add the subtitles;
-if the dowloaded subs are compatible witht this application (otherwise you'll have to use Subtitle Workshop to convert the subs to a file supported by your software), and;
-if the subs are correctly shown (not out of sync).
If everythigng works out, prepare and burn your project.
