I am using TMPGEnc DVD Author which I think is a hell of a lot better than DVD Remake Pro (which I drop $50 on, damn!). I have merged my dvds together got my chapter menu all set up but I want to know how can I add audio to the chapter menu screen? Can this be done in TMPGEnc DVD Author or do I need to use another tool, if so what tool?
Thanx

I dont want stills I want motion menus with some sort of audio. I dont need the audio to be per clip I just want it to be for the menu itself.
How can I do this? I refuse to continue to spend cash on tools that do not complete the job. DVD Remake Pro does a good merge, TMPGenc does a better one in my eyes, but I hear that DVDLab Pro does even a better job.
I just want a tool that will allow me to merge my dvds, create my own still or motion menus and add some sort of audio background to the menu screen so that it is not silent death when the menu is displayed.
Help me out. Thanx -
I guess I didn't use small enough words. In tmpgenc DVD author, only motion menus can have audio. The simplest motion menu would be a video clip with a still picture and appropriate audio. If this is too hard for you to work out how to do, stay away from DVD Lab Pro, which is 100 times harder to use than TDA.

Thank you for the feedback, and please keep in mind that ignorance is everywhere. Its in homes, schools, on the net and in the whitehouse.
Keep thinking small!

If you're happy to create your own, then TMPGEnc DVD Author can do a nice job as you've already found out.
To echo what guns1inger said, if you want audio on menus in TDA, then you need to use an encoder to create a DVD-compliant MPEG, which can comprise either video of some description with audio, or a still frame with audio.
I'm certain this has been described in greater detail here before. Maybe a forum search on "tda motion menu" might provide some helpful responses ?If in doubt, Google it. -
Add your clip (Audio with Video) into the Menu, its that simple.
