I'm a newbie, so forgive my ignorance.
I just started using Adobe Premiere Pro and I've been trying to figure out how to burn a DVD properly. To practice a little with the program I took a slideshow from ProShow Gold, created a video file, and opened it with APP. Now I created the show in a 16 X 9 aspect and when I run a DVD burned in ProShow, it fills my 16 X 9 screen. But, the same file burnt with APP has black bars on all sides. I can't figure out how to get it fullscreen (as in fill the 16 X 9 area, not 4:3 fullscreen).
I used both the 4:3 and 16:9 options in APP's encoding section, and did the same with PSG. I have to believe there is something I am doing wrong and that APP isn't a limited program. Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
Also, are there any online guides to this program? There are a lot of things for me to explore.
Thanks,
Geo

Thanks for the link. And I figured out what I did wrong. I had my pixel size set incorrectly. I needed it set to 0.9. This is in the general settings.
I'm a little confused about the Dolby Digital encoding. If I purchase the SurCode plug-in to enable 5.1 encoding, this is only used when I make a DVD with Premiere Pro? Can I just make a project, and then send it to another program like Encore to make a 5.1 DVD, or do I have to encode with Premiere first. I'd hate to spend $300 on a plug-in that I wouldn't need since I have the other program already. Am I making any sense?
