  1. I am trying to convert a divx movie to mpeg so i can directly burn it
The only way i see possible is through TMPGEnc...according to the "HOW TO CONVERT SECTION" in vcdhelp
anyway...i try to load up video source like it says in instructions...and this is what it says

File: "D:\VITE_DIVX_RH2.AVI", can not open or unsupported

This is the divx movie of Rush Hour 2 if you were wondering
    Anyway...the movie plays fine
I am using DiVx Codec 4.01 if that might be causing the problem

Can anyone help me or tell some alternate method?

    THANKS

  2. download the latest codec and that should help or you can do a brave thing you can uncommpress the Divx file to a regular avi file but that will take alot of space

  6. I think that you must have DIVx version 3.11 codec installed.
That did it for me, anyway.

    Uninstall Divx 4.

    Download this http://doom9.org/Soft21/Files/divx_311alpha.exe

Run it. Don't register it yet.

    Download this

    http://doom9.org/Soft21/Files/DivX.Scene-Detect.Patch.v1.0.exe
Extract to C:\Program Files\DivX_311alpha (Yes overwrite existing files)

Then click on "Run Me First" in
    Start Menu\Programs\DivX MPEG-4 Video Codec

    (or run Register_DivX.exe in C:\Program Files\DivX_311alpha)

Then re-install Divx 4, don't allow it to decode Divx 3 files.

  11. Now, i noticed that the movie you tried to convert was Vites release, and kinda new one. Vites newest releases contain this .dll file you have to install, before you can watch movies, releases like Hardball, Hearts in Atlantis have this one with them. I didnt notice this first, i installed new divx codecs many MANY time , before I released whats wrong :O

Now, the problem is, that TMPenc doesnt support this new format :O
The movie is still .avi, but its not supported by TMPenc, and I dont know how to fix this problem ! So plz help me too!
